Agile Announces 13th Annual Agile on the Green

Topgolf Tournament benefiting Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta Affiliate

ATLANTA – IT staffing firm Agile announced today that registration is open for their annual golf charity event, Agile on the Green, which will be hosted at Topgolf Alpharetta on October 6, 2016 to benefit Susan G. Komen – Greater Atlanta Affiliate.

Agile on the Green was started in 2004 by Tricia Dempsey, a thirteen-year breast cancer survivor and the President of Agile, an innovative IT staffing and consulting firm.  Both professionally and personally, Dempsey is known for her ability to connect people and give back. Agile on the Green brings together the IT and Breast Cancer communities to play Topgolf in a relaxed setting that fosters networking and fun!

“Bringing back our VIP’s this year is an exciting addition,” says Dempsey. “The technology leaders in Atlanta have always been so generous with their time and commitment to this cause. Agile has always been about more than just helping our clients, we are committed to giving back and Agile on the Green remains a passion centered around helping fund Komen programs to eradicate breast cancer.”

Multiple sponsorship opportunities are open including Luncheon Sponsor, Event Shirt Sponsor, Beverage Sponsor, and Team Sponsors. This year Agile on the Green is reintroducing the VIP Sponsorship, which allows teams to play with an executive IT leader from the Atlanta community. There are also registration options to attend as an individual golfer or a supporter (non-golfer). Each level of sponsorship, its benefits and registration is outlined at http://www.agileonthegreen.com/sponsor/.

It’s competitive, it’s fun and it’s for a great cause – net proceeds from the event benefit Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta.  In 2014-2015, Komen Atlanta funded $1.56 million in breast health programs throughout metro Atlanta to provide life-saving breast screenings, diagnostic testing and treatment support to those who cannot afford these services. This provided 9,500 breast health services, including 5,000+ breast cancer screenings, 2,600+ diagnostic services, 125+ legal services, 350+ survivor support services, and ultimately helped diagnose 73 breast cancers. Since its inception in 2004, Agile on the Green has raised over $290,000 for Susan G. Komen.

Anyone can play Topgolf, from aspiring pros to those who’ve never walked 18 holes.  All you have to do is swing a club and try to hit your micro chipped balls into dartboard like targets.  Topgolf is hosted in a state-of-the-art venue in Alpharetta and allows for more networking and interaction – rain or shine.  This year Agile is bringing back the VIP Team Sponsorship option which allows participants to play with Atlanta’s top IT executives.
