Qualifications:

Strong understanding of UML modeling techniques including use cases, sequence diagrams, class diagrams, etc.

The Senior Technical Writer will be responsible for writing, editing and revising online help and user documentation for software products. Practical, relevant experience in compiling information through research, hands-on product experience, and interviews with subject-matter experts are critical. The Senior Technical Writer will play a critical role in translating information into organized content for use by customers, partners and employees for a 24x7 mission critical application in the Healthcare ERP market.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain online help, user documents, release notes and other user facing software documentation.
Study development and product management artifacts, and interacts with cross-functional team to understand product features
Learn the software products through hands-on experience and self-study
Participate in documentation project scheduling and planning meetings
Complete writing assignments on time and with high quality
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Scope, define and create new documents
Peer review documents from other writers
Remain current on industry and technical advances in the areas of technical writing

Qualifications

5+ years of experience writing software documentation, including online help, user documentation, release notes and other relevant technical documents.
Strong knowledge of a variety of documentation tools including RoboHelp, FrameMaker and Acrobat.
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to clearly express complex ideas and concepts
Knowledge of best practices in technical communication
Strong computer skills
Ability to work and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability and desire to collaborate with others
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Agile software methodology experience a plus
